Import Custom Reports into SSRS
Locate RDL Files
SSRS stores report definitions in RDL files. These files are used during the import process.
Save the RDL files to be imported to an easily accessible location.
Browse to the SSRS Instance
Open the SSRS Reports URL.
The name may resemble http://<SSRSServer>/Reports or http://<SSRSServer>/Reports_InstanceName
Click on the folder that has the same name as the SysTrack master system.
In this example, YOURMASTERNAME.DOMAIN.COM
Open the Analyze Reports folder
This folder structure here is mirrored in the Visualizer > Reporting interface.
Browse to the folder or location that best suits the report to be imported.
Optionally, create a new location.
In this example, a Custom Reports folder was created.
Upload the Custom Report (.RDL) File
After determining where to save the report, click on the Upload File icon within that location.
Browse to the previously saved RDL file and click OK.
Repeat this process for any other newly imported report files.
Configure the Shared Dataset
On the newly uploaded report, from the drop-down menu, select Manage.
Select the Data Sources category and click Browse to find to the shared SysTrack data source.
This shared data source will be found in the location: YOURMASTERNAME > Analyze Reports > DataSources >
SysTrack Reporting.
After selecting the data source, click OK.
Repeat this process for any other newly imported report files.
